About the Trailblazer Trot 5K and The Monster Mile
The race starts and finishes at a high school, with a shorter fun run kicking things off before the 5K follows. People come out in Halloween gear, capes, and spooky socks. The proceeds go toward scholarships for students at a local technical education center, so there is a real reason behind the morning beyond just running.
Awards go out shortly after the 5K wraps. The atmosphere leans into the Halloween season, with the costume element woven into both distances rather than treated as an afterthought.
