About the Culpeper July 4th Freedom 5k
The race starts and finishes at a church in town, and the course loops past Yowell Park more than once. Roads stay open to traffic, so police and volunteers are stationed along the way. It is a summer morning race, and heat is a real factor, so plan accordingly.
Packet pickup runs the morning of the race at the church, which also has restrooms. Parking is in the church lot or in town parking lots just across the street. After finishing, there is an indoor cooling area with snacks, a photo booth, and displays on Culpeper's Revolutionary history at the finish line.

The Culpeper July 4th Freedom 5k has been held every year since at least 2021. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
