About the TMC Old Tucson Trail Run 8-Mile, 4 Mile, 1 Mile

The course runs through Old Tucson Studios, a working western film set, so the surroundings are genuinely strange in the best way: dusty main streets, frontier storefronts, and open desert terrain. The longer distances head out into Tucson Mountain Park on singletrack and washes with some rugged stretches, while the shortest option stays on more forgiving ground. Watch for cactus. A western costume contest runs at the awards ceremony afterward.

Packet pickup happens the day before at a local running shop, with race-morning pickup available in the main parking lot at the east end near the start. After you finish, there is a cash bar at the Bitter Creek set and breakfast burritos available nearby if you pre-ordered one.
