About the Walk for Unity
The course runs along Rockefeller Lagoon on Martin Luther King Dr, a stretch of parkland that is mostly flat and open. The race is organized by a nonprofit built around dialogue between Black and Jewish communities, so the crowd at the start tends to reflect that, congregations and workplace groups and families alongside the runners.
Parking is in a nearby surface lot with pay-by-phone signage, a short walk downhill to the start. Post-race refreshments are set out at the finish, and there are awards for top finishers overall.
