About the Lucky Dog Race for Recovery 5K
The course runs near a climbing gym off a main parkway in Kennesaw, and dogs on leash are welcome the whole way. Chip timing handles individual results, while gun time determines the overall standings, so both competitive runners and those moving at a slower pace get an accurate picture of their race. The event raises money for an organization that works with people recovering from homelessness and substance abuse.
Packet pickup and check-in happen the morning of the race at the start location, before the gun goes off. An awards ceremony follows shortly after the field finishes.
