About the Lost Pines Endurance Fest
The course runs the North-South Trailway along Lake Bastrop, an out-and-back through dense loblolly pine forest. Underfoot is packed dirt, sand, rock, and stretches cushioned with pine needles. The terrain rolls gently, with enough technical variety to feel like real trail running without punishing you. Creek crossings and glimpses of the lake through the trees break up the miles.
The park at South Shore offers camping and overnight accommodations right on site, so staying close to the start is easy. The event spreads across a weekend, with different distances on each day. Bastrop's downtown is a short drive for food and drinks after you finish.
