About the Little Big Run (100 Club Fundraiser .5K)
The route is genuinely short, a quick loop that most people finish before they have worked up much of a sweat. It is held at Buckstin Brewing Company, and the run feels more like a warm-up for the afternoon than a race. Awards go to the podium finishers and, just as seriously, to whoever comes in last.
After the run, the brewery fills up with food, drinks, and a sponsor village where local businesses and organizations set up for the day. The event raises money for first responder families who have lost someone or faced serious injury in the line of duty, so the crowd tends to stay a while.
