About the Jamestown Half Marathon, Virginia Company 5K and Discovery Mile
The course winds through Jamestown Settlement, past an Indian village and a fort, then loops Jamestown Island before picking up the Virginia Capital Trail on the way back. The terrain is flat throughout, and the surroundings shift between historic grounds, waterside paths, and a paved trail corridor. It runs as a Grand Prix event for two regional running circuits.
Parking is in an overflow lot off Jamestown Road, near the beach parking area. The start and finish are in front of a historic building along that same road, so everything stays close together on race morning. Post-race includes food and beer for those of legal age, with music from a DJ at the finish area.
