About the Izzo Run/Walk/Roll
The Izzo Run/Walk/Roll takes place on the Michigan State University campus and is built around charitable giving as much as running. Several distance options are available, including a short course aimed at younger kids, and a roll option runs alongside the main course, so the field is genuinely mixed in how people move through it.
Proceeds go toward local charities and an endowment tied to the Izzo Legacy. The event draws MSU alumni alongside East Lansing locals, and the campus setting gives it a recognizable home base for anyone who knows the area well.

The Izzo Run/Walk/Roll has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
