About the Homewood First Responders 5K & Fun Run

The course starts and finishes in front of a local running store on a street in downtown Homewood, then threads through the surrounding neighborhoods. It is a road race with a civic feel, the kind of morning where police vehicles and fire trucks are parked at the start and officers and firefighters are out on course.

Kids are part of the picture here. The start area draws families, and there is enough going on before and after the race, including a visit from McGruff the Crime Dog, to make it worth arriving early and sticking around after you finish.
