About the Jimmie Hale Mission Rescue Run 5K & 10K
The course runs through the streets of Homewood, starting and finishing on a block that gets closed to traffic for the race. It is a certified course, pretty flat throughout, with the longer option doing a couple of loops of the same route. A restaurant sits right at the start and finish line, which makes the area feel more like a neighborhood block than a staging lot.
Packet pickup runs on two evenings beforehand at a local running store, with race-morning pickup available at the old police station parking lot nearby. That same lot area serves as part of the parking for the event, with additional street parking around the course. Post-race food and drinks are set up at the finish, and local restaurants and businesses offer specials for people who stick around.

The Jimmie Hale Mission Rescue Run 5K & 10K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
