About the BTC Vulcan Run
Both distances start and finish in front of City Hall in downtown Homewood, looping out through residential neighborhoods before coming back to the same spot. The courses are USATF certified. The terrain rolls through quiet streets, the kind of route that feels more like a neighborhood run than a closed-off highway race.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local running store nearby, which the organizers recommend to avoid congestion on race morning. Race-day pickup opens early at Rosewood Hall, close to the start.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
