About the Hillcrest Hope Giving Thanks 5K
This one runs on Thanksgiving morning, which gives it a particular feeling. The proceeds go toward helping homeless families reach self-sufficiency, so the cause is right there in the air alongside the cold. Strollers are welcome, and walkers too, though they line up toward the back. No dogs on this one.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the organization's admin office on West Mill Street. If you miss that, there is a second window on race morning at the Liberty Community Center, where the race also starts.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Hillcrest Hope Giving Thanks 5K has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
