About the RUN Liberty

The course starts and finishes at a college campus and winds through downtown Liberty along the way. It is a road race, so the surface is consistent, and the downtown stretch gives you storefronts and street-level scenery rather than trails or parks. Several distance options mean the course sees a wide spread of paces on race morning.

Parking near the start is limited, and the organizers strongly push the shuttle option. Buses run frequently from a nearby church, so that is the practical way in for most people. Inside the campus event center, you can check gear, pick up your packet, and warm up before the start.

Finish-Time Stats

Going by the 2026 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

Common Questions About the RUN Liberty

Will I finish last at the RUN Liberty?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:10:45, and the last recorded finisher came in around 3:46:23, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the RUN Liberty a good first 13.1 Miles?

A field of 428 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the RUN Liberty?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:06:50 while the median finisher took 2:10:45. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
