About the Great Masked Pumpkin Race
The Great Masked Pumpkin Race runs through Riverfront Park and is built around a simple twist: near the end of the course, each runner stops to pick out a pumpkin and carries it the rest of the way to the finish. Wagons and strollers are fair game, and the pumpkin goes home with you. The race is untimed, and costumes are encouraged, with prizes for the best ones.
Packet pickup runs the morning of the race at Riverfront Park. The different course lengths stagger their starts across a short window, so families and faster runners tend to filter through at different moments.
