About the Summer Crush Christmas Wine Run 5k

The course runs through the grounds of a family-owned vineyard and winery on the edge of Fort Pierce, so the surroundings are vines and open sky rather than pavement and strip malls. The race is chip-timed, age group awards go out across a wide range of categories, and there is a pour of wine at the finish.

Packet pickup is race morning only, at the winery itself, starting about an hour before the first wave goes off. If you are picking up for a group, you just need their QR codes. A concert takes over the venue later in the morning, so plan to wrap up before then or buy a separate ticket.

Common Questions About the Summer Crush Christmas Wine Run 5k

Will I finish last at the Summer Crush Christmas Wine Run 5k?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 45:31, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:15:02, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Summer Crush Christmas Wine Run 5k a good first 5K?

A field of 424 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Summer Crush Christmas Wine Run 5k?

The 5K winner ran 19:42 while the median finisher took 45:31. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
