About the 2026 Stroll on State Dasher Dash 5K

The course runs through downtown Rockford, crossing several bridges over the Rock River and looping along East State Street, which is decorated for the holiday season. Davis Park serves as both the start and finish, putting you right in the middle of a larger street festival, with a parade, live music, and a tree lighting all happening the same day.

There is no race-day registration, so you need to be signed up before online registration closes. Packet pickup details had not been finalized, so check with the organizer closer to race day for that location.

Common Questions About the 2026 Stroll on State Dasher Dash 5K

Will I finish last at the 2026 Stroll on State Dasher Dash 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 38:38, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:26:36, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 2026 Stroll on State Dasher Dash 5K a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 712 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 2026 Stroll on State Dasher Dash 5K?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 18:06 while the median finisher took 38:38. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
