About the Stony Mountain Vineyard 5K

The course runs out and back through the vineyard property, and it earns its name. Several real hills break it up, with views of the surrounding mountains opening up along the way. Strollers and dogs are welcome, so the field tends to be a mix of people running the hills hard and others taking in the scenery at their own pace.

After the finish, the vineyard opens up for wine tasting, and there are non-alcoholic drinks available for those who want them. Proceeds from the race go toward a local running club, so the post-race gathering has a genuine reason to linger.
