About the Race to Remember - Alzheimer's Charity Race 5k/1 Mile Walk

The course winds through historic downtown Albemarle and into the surrounding neighborhoods, so you get a good look at the older architecture and tree-lined streets. It is a point-to-point style finish near the YMCA pavilion, and the route is open enough that runners and walkers spread out comfortably. The race benefits Alzheimer's and dementia research through the Rotary Club's charitable trust.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at The Independent Bistro, with race-morning pickup also available at the start area. Parking is spread across a few spots nearby, including a lot adjacent to the pavilion and space near Hartsell Funeral Home.
