About the Fellowship of the Idiots 19.7-Mile Run
This is a road run with genuine ambition to it. The route starts at the Stanly County Family YMCA, pushes up Morrow Mountain, and returns the same way, so you face that climb in both directions. Shorter turnaround options exist for those building toward a half marathon or something in between. The rolling start window lets you self-seed by pace rather than scrambling to a single gun.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Uwharrie Brewing in Albemarle, with race-morning pickup available at the YMCA Pavilion, near the playground across from the main building. Bathrooms and showers are available at the YMCA once the morning gets going. There is food and snacks at the finish.
