About the Steel City 12 Hour Run & Ruck

The course is a looped paved path around Smith Park, flat the whole way and running alongside a regional airport. You go around as many times as you can before the clock hits the morning. Because it runs overnight, you get a very different experience than a standard road race: the park at midnight feels nothing like it does at dusk or dawn.

The aid station at the start and finish area is stocked throughout the night, with soup and bacon arriving in the small hours and coffee and donuts closer to sunrise. Runners and ruckers can set up a personal canopy along the course, so a lot of people bring their own crew and supplies.
