About the SNIPSA 19th Annual Race for the Rescues 5K Run/Walk
The course starts at a swimming pool in the Alamo Heights neighborhood and winds through the surrounding streets, which the organizers describe as semi-challenging. You can run it solo, bring your dog along, or enter as part of a team. The race supports a local spay-neuter and animal rescue organization, and dogs are genuinely central to the event, not an afterthought.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon and evening before the race at the SNIPSA office on McCullough Ave, well away from the start line, so plan accordingly. The start area is at the Alamo Heights swimming pool on Viesca.
