The route runs along the Guadalupe River Trail, out and back, staying close to the water the whole way. It is paved trail running, flat and open, with the greenery of the trail corridor on one side and glimpses of the city on the other. The race starts and finishes at Riverview Park, so the finish area has a real anchor to it.
