About the Sickle Cell Warrior Walk & Run 5K
The race is held at Hartman Park and is organized around raising awareness of sickle cell disease. The course offers a longer run option and a shorter walk or run, both starting from the same park. The route is not described in detail, but the park setting keeps things grounded and accessible to people moving at any pace.
The morning opens with vendor booths and an opening ceremony before the first wave goes off. Post-race, there is a gathering at the finish line with refreshments and an awards ceremony for top finishers in the run, with prize money going to the overall winners.
