About the Shamrockin Run New Orleans
The race runs along Lakeshore Drive, closed to traffic for the morning, so the course is wide open with lake views the whole way. Several distance options share the same stretch of road, and one of them adds a twist: runners stop at each kilometer to drink a small glass of Guinness, with prizes going to the fastest finishers who complete every pour.
Packet pickup is offered over the two days before the race, first at a running store on Canal Street, then at the Blue Crab Restaurant on Lakeshore Drive, which also serves as the race-day hub. Parking is available near both locations. Race-morning pickup opens early and closes before the first wave goes off.
