About the Seventh Annual Rock Ridge Turkey Trot 5K, Kids Fun Run
The course winds through the roads around a lake community, starting in front of the neighborhood clubhouse. Roads stay open, so runners share the pavement with traffic. The kids' fun run follows the main race, a short sprint held in the same area. Food donations for local pantries are collected at the start.
The start is in front of the Rock Ridge Community Club clubhouse on race morning. After the races wrap up, there are awards for the top adult runners and prizes for the kids. The event also doubles as a food drive, so bringing a non-perishable item is part of the tradition here.
