About the Second Mile Fun Run
The course runs through the trails of Petrifying Springs Park, starting near one of the park pavilions. The terrain is natural and wooded, as you'd expect from a trail route, and the distances are short enough that the morning moves quickly. Several route options let people pick what suits them, including a virtual option for those who can't make it in person.
The event benefits a ministry based in Guatemala, and that mission is front and center on race day. Check-in happens at the pavilion, where you can also pick up any pre-ordered apparel. Because it is a park-based event, expect to find your own parking within the grounds.
