About the Schutt's Cider Mile

The course runs through the orchards at Schutt's Apple Mill, a family-owned farm that has been pressing cider for generations. The mile is off-road, through the orchard grounds, broken into quarters by cider stops. You drink, run a stretch, drink again, and repeat until you are done. Both hard and regular apple cider are offered, and the farm checks ID for the hard stuff.

Packet pickup runs the day before at Fleet Feet in Rochester, which the organizers strongly prefer over race-morning pickup. If you go race-day, the window closes before the first wave goes out. After the race, the tasting room stays open and there is a country store worth wandering through.
