About the Sarah Strong 5K and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run

The course starts and finishes at Bicentennial Park in downtown Elkhart, so runners come back to where they began with crowds nearby. Strollers are permitted on course. The race benefits a local foundation that supports families dealing with cancer, and the whole event grew out of one Elkhart family's story.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a location to be confirmed, with a race-morning window as well. On race day, parking at the park itself is closed for the start and finish area, but there is space across the street at a restaurant and a fitness center.
