About the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Oklahoma City
The race is held at Lake Stanley Draper, so the scenery is water and open sky for most of the route. The course is not dead flat but stays close to it, with no real climbing to speak of. Several self-serve water stations are spread through the course. The race honors veterans specifically, and active-duty military and veterans run at reduced or no cost.
Check-in opens on race morning, roughly an hour before the gun. The organizers note a pre-race pickup may be added if it becomes available, so it is worth checking back closer to race day.
