About the Sadlers Creek Stumble (32 Hour - 26.2 - 13.1 - 10k)
The course runs a looped trail around a peninsula that juts into Lake Hartwell, inside Sadlers Creek State Park. The surface is mostly packed dirt and pine needle, with some gravel and a little pavement mixed in. The terrain rolls gently the whole way through, nothing steep, and the woods provide good shade. You pass campsites mid-loop, which makes crewing easy if someone is waiting for you.
Packet pickup opens at the Activity Center shortly before your race starts. Camping is available at the park, either at a lakefront site reserved directly through the park, or as overflow tent and car camping in the adjacent lot a short walk from the trailhead. Post-race, there is hot soup and pancakes at the finish, and campfires tend to keep going well into the evening.
