About the Running of the Elves 5K Run/Walk & Jingle Bell Mile
This race leans hard into holiday costumes, and Key West does that kind of thing without irony. Runners, joggers, and walkers all go together, with the shorter mile option untimed, so the pressure is off. The whole point seems to be showing up in something ridiculous and moving through the streets in a crowd of elves.
The post-race party is at Kaya Island Eats, the same spot where the race starts. Packet pickup is also there, so you are not driving to two different places. A portion of proceeds goes to Reef Relief, a local environmental charity.
