About the RUN/WALK FOR THE RARE!
The course starts and finishes outside a pavilion in a North Meadow, so the surroundings feel open and grassy rather than urban. The route offers several distance options, from a quick loop to something longer, and the event is built around raising awareness for rare diseases, so the crowd skews toward families and people running in someone's honor.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a fitness center on Commercial Street, with race-morning pickup available at the start area as well. There is a food coupon and ice cream at the finish, along with a photo booth.
