About the Run To Remember 5K

The course runs through the Kentucky State Police Training Academy after dark, so the setting is more patrol ground than park path. It is a tribute run honoring troopers who have died in the line of duty, and that purpose shapes the atmosphere on the course. Chip timing is handled by an outside firm, with gun time used for overall places.

Packet pickup runs the evening of the race at the Training Academy, opening a couple of hours before the start. Cash registration is accepted on race day, and online registration stays open right up until the gun. The start is late enough that you will want to plan your warmup around the fading light.
