About the KSU & Crystal Blossom Inc. Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run
The race honors the memory of a Kentucky State University alumna, and the course keeps you on campus the whole time. You loop the university track repeatedly, so the surface is consistent and the route never leaves the stadium environment. It suits walkers and runners alike, and the breast cancer awareness mission gives the morning a clear sense of purpose.
Teams are a big part of how people participate here. Groups, classes, and campus organizations compete to field the largest team, which gives the gathering more of a reunion feel than a typical road race. A virtual option also exists for those who cannot make it to Frankfort in person.
