The course runs through residential neighborhoods on a coastal island, with the longer route circling most of the island and passing along the oceanfront. Road surfaces throughout, and the terrain is flat, with salt air and open water views keeping things interesting. Race day here tends to bring mild weather, warm enough for shorts but cool enough to run well.
