About the GRAVEYARD GALLOP 5K

This road race runs through Ocean Isle Beach on a Halloween-themed evening, with costumed volunteers stationed along the route and at the water stop. The whole setup is built around the local volunteer fire department, so the crowd is neighbors and regulars rather than a traveling race circuit.

Packet pickup happens on race morning near the start line, which is at the Grissettown Volunteer Fire Department. Parking is available on site, with designated areas marked out. After you finish, the firemen run a concession stand, and runners with their bibs can get into the department's Haunted Trail at a discount.
