About the Run Like Hell 5K
The course runs through the streets of Irondequoit, starting and finishing at a pub. It is a Halloween costume race, and most people show up dressed for it. Instead of water stops along the way, there are candy stops, so bring a bag if you want to collect as you go. Groups can run tied together as a team and compete for best time or best costume.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store, with a second window at the pub on race morning before the start. After the race, the after-party is right there at Johnny's Irish Pub. Proceeds benefit Sunset House, a local charity in Irondequoit.

The Run Like Hell 5K has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
