About the Run Houston! Sam Houston Race Park 5K & 10K

The course runs out and back through Sam Houston Race Park, starting and finishing in the parking lot just across from the post-race pavilion. The terrain is flat and the route moves fast. Police cover every intersection, so runners have dedicated lanes throughout. A shorter kids course shares the same start and finish area.

Free parking is available at the park, with access through the south entrance off Fallbrook. Plan to arrive a bit early, since runners on the street can slow things down. Packet pickup is offered the morning of the race, though the organizers recommend picking up beforehand. A pre-event pickup option is announced a couple of weeks out.
