About the Run for Your Life: 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run & Trick or Treat Trot

The course runs through Ruby Grant Park on trails, so expect dirt underfoot rather than pavement. The race leans hard into Halloween: costumes are encouraged, and the main distance includes strobe lights and fog machines along the route, so the organizers explicitly flag it as adult-oriented and not suitable for those with light sensitivities. A separate youth event runs at the same site.

Packet pickup happens earlier in the week at a local coffee shop, with race-morning pickup available on site as a backup. There is a beer station at the finish for those of legal age, and a DJ keeps things going after the run.
