About the Run for the Range: Trail Run
The course runs across a private working ranch that stays closed to the public the rest of the year. Trails move through native grasslands, wooded stretches, and creek crossings, with rolling hills throughout. The terrain is genuine trail, uneven and natural underfoot, so trail shoes matter here. There are scenic overlooks along the way, and the ranch itself is the draw.
After finishing, there is warm food, cold beer, and live music out on the ranch. The race benefits land conservation, and the property itself is permanently protected, so the surroundings you run through are the point of the whole event.
