About the Run for the 1 in 100
The race starts at a church athletic field on the east side of Albuquerque, with both a longer run and a shorter walk-run option on the course. The event raises money for children and families dealing with Congenital Heart Defects, and all of it stays in state. A remembrance ceremony for those lost to the condition is part of the morning.
Food trucks are on site after the race. There are also family activities at the field, so the finish area stays busy well after the last runners come through.
