About the NM GREAT PUMPKIN CHASE 10K, 5K, 1-MILE WALK, KIDS K and INFLATABLE COSTUME MAD DASH
The course runs through the Albuquerque Country Club neighborhood on flat streets, so it suits runners chasing a fast time as much as anyone out for a fall morning in costume. Beyond the main races, there is a kids' dash and an inflatable costume fun run, and a best costume contest gives the dressed-up crowd something to compete for beyond bragging rights.
Packet pickup is the evening before at a Fleet Feet location. Race-morning pickup is available for out-of-town participants. The start and finish are on Kit Carson Drive just north of Rio Grande Park, with portable toilets on the east side of the park. Parking is in designated areas only, and the organizers ask runners not to block neighborhood driveways.
