About the 5th Annual Run for Recovery - Anderson
The race starts at the intersection of East/West Parkway and a major highway near an Ingles grocery store, and benefits The Bridge Center Recovery, a treatment facility for men working through addiction. The proceeds go toward a scholarship fund that helps cover the cost of the program, so the cause is woven into the morning rather than just printed on a banner.
Packet pickup opens at the start area before the gun, so there is no separate trip to make the day before. The timed distance and an untimed fun run option both start from the same spot, and the race goes on regardless of weather.
