About the Run For Juju Suicide Prevention 5k
This race is built around remembrance and mental health awareness, organized by a foundation that carries the name of someone lost to suicide. The semicolon appears throughout as a symbol, the idea that a story pauses rather than ends. Runners and walkers come from all directions, some honoring a specific person, some there in support of someone still struggling.
There are community partners and resource organizations at the event, so the post-race area has more going on than a typical finish line. Mental health information and family-friendly activities fill the space alongside post-race refreshments. It reads less like a race-day afterthought and more like the main point of the morning.
