About the Rocket City Runners & Run with Kenyans Juneteenth Run
The course starts at Ditto Landing and heads out along the Aldridge Creek Greenway, a shaded path that runs alongside the creek. It is an out-and-back, so the route is the same coming and going. The canopy keeps things cooler than a lot of summer courses in Huntsville, and the surface is smooth enough for any pace.
Packet pickup is handled by RunningLane, the race's timing company, at their location on Memorial Parkway SW. There are two pickup windows in the days before the race, one midweek and one the evening before. The event benefits the Run Abroad Initiative, which funds youth programs, scholarships, and running development both locally and in Kenya.
