About the Rise Together 5K
The course winds through countryside outside Versailles on surfaces that shift between dirt, gravel, and pavement, so road shoes may feel out of place. The terrain rolls throughout, with views of the surrounding natural landscape. Uneven footing is part of the deal here, and the organizers are upfront that strollers and wheelchairs are not a good fit.
The race is part of a larger Recovery Rally gathering, so the start and finish areas carry a different weight than most. Speakers share personal stories, and a Wall of Remembrance gives people a place to honor those lost to overdose. Animals are not allowed on the course.
