About the Good & Young Spirit 5K
The course runs on paved road and trail surfaces at Falling Springs Recreation Center, so the footing is consistent throughout. Dogs on leash and strollers are welcome alongside runners and walkers, which shapes the morning into something more like a neighborhood gathering than a straight-up race. There is a kids' dash alongside the main event, and awards go out across a range of age groups.
Packet pickup opens race morning at the outdoor pavilion at the recreation center, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. Post-race food and drinks are set up on site after the finish.
