About the Resolution Run 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Stroll

Both courses run out from a hotel and conference center and pick up the Pumpkinvine Trail and Ridge Trails. The shorter course is timed with age group awards, while the longer stroll is untimed and moves at its own pace. The finish comes in on a path behind the inn, away from traffic, then loops back around to the building. Warm cocoa is waiting inside.

Packet pickup and registration happen the morning of the race at that same inn and conference center, where runners also gather before and after. The start line is out on Wayne Street, and the road closes before anyone goes. Parking is right there at the inn. Post-race awards and refreshments are held on the conference side of the building.

Common Questions About the Resolution Run 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Stroll

Will I finish last at the Resolution Run 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Stroll?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 30:39, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:03:05, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Resolution Run 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Stroll a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 214 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Resolution Run 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Stroll?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 16:19 while the median finisher took 30:39. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
