About the Dash Away 5K
The course runs through a fairgrounds dressed in holiday lights and themed decorations, so the whole route is lit up after dark. Costumes are part of the deal here, and plenty of people show up in full festive gear. It reads more like a neighborhood tradition than a standard road race.
Packet pickup and registration happen at the fairgrounds before the start, so there is no need to sort anything out in advance. The race goes off after dark, which is the whole point, and the light displays are visible the entire way around.
